This sweet, iced, whipped coffee has two main ingredients and whips together in less than a minute!
By now you’ve seen the huge quarantine trend of whipped coffee. This was one trend I could get on board with.
It’s probably THE drink of 2020 and super easy to make.
You only need three ingredients: instant coffee, sugar, and hot water to get the luscious whip.
The ratio of the ingredients is 1:1:1
I believe the whipping process works best using a stick blender with the whisk attachment. I set mine to the highest speed. I also use the tall, blending cup it came with. Super quick and easy to clean afterwards.
I like to fill a tall glass 1/3 full with ice cubes and 3/4 full with milk. I like a lot of milk. 😉 Spoon the whipped coffee on top and get ready to mix, mix, mix.
You’ll slowly start to see your milk turn a lovely brown color. You’re getting closer. Continue to mix in the whipped coffee to get just the right flavour.
Occasionally give the coffee another stir to continue blending in the remaining whip on top. At this point I usually add a bit more milk to cut down on the sweetness – bonus, more iced coffee for me to enjoy. 🙂
PrintWhipped Coffee (Dalgona Coffee)
- Total Time: 10 minutes
- Yield: 1 Serving 1x
Description
This sweet, iced, coffee has two main ingredients and blends up in less than a minute!
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon organic, instant coffee
- 1 tablespoon cane sugar
- 1 tablespoon very hot water
- milk of your choice, I used 1,5% milk (*see note)
- ice cubes
Instructions
- Add coffee, sugar, and hot water to a tall, wide mouth glass or container and whip using a stick blender with the whisk attachment. (It should take less than a minute.)
- In a tall glass add ice cubes and milk and spoon the whipped coffee on top.
- Mix, mix, mix, until desired taste/sweetness is reached.
Notes
The amount of milk you need will depend on your taste. Start with 8 ounces and add more if you find the coffee too sweet.
As the whipped coffee starts to settle, occasionally give it a stir to incorporate it. At this point I like to add more milk to cut some of the sweetness.
